Thanks

A VT102 is a nonexpandable terminal equivalent to a VT100 with
Advanced Video Option and Printer Port. In addition it supports
half-duplex communication, asymmetric full-duplex (half duplex
with secondary channel), and modem control, which the VT100
does not. The VT102 is a slower terminal than the VT100, hence
the infamous "disable autorepeat" kludge in EDT.

From a software standpoint, a VT102 is a VT100 with insert/delete
line/character capability (considering that AVO is a "non-
optional option" for VT100s, but most do not have Printer Ports,
and DEC in their infinite wisdom tied insert/delete to having a
printer port installed; note that the only real loss is the
character functions, as the base VT100 supports scrolling
regions.)
