Dear Netlanders, I am looking for some information regarding X-Windows. Specifically, I have to come up with some justification that will allow our department to buy Window graphics terminals designed to work with X-Windows instead of the basic character oriented Terminals. (i.e VT320s) What I need is some good convincing arguments to support this. I need to show advantages of the X-windowing environment. This may be current advantages or future advantages. Any statistics that would show that a windowing interface makes a person more productive than one would be with the basic terminal would be great. Any help in this area would be appreciated. In other words, you want us to provide reasons to support the
conclusion you've already drawn. What happened to the reasons
you should have had when drawing that conclusion?
Seems wrong to me.
