[comp.terminals] laptop terminals?

brianba@tekgvs.LABS.TEK.COM (Brian Batson) (01/17/90)

We are in need for a portable terminal but also want to avoid the
purchase of a laptop computer.

Are there terminals with VT100 compatibility in a laptop configuration?

Thanx,
Brian Batson

Sure. Plenty. Texas Instruments makes a few models, the 'LT220' is the
latest. 80x24 LCD screen, VT220 compatability, optional printer, the works.
Roughly $800.

I also believe there is another one called "COLLEGUE" or something like that
that sells for a little less. We happen to own the TI and I love it.
The biggest reason for getting it was for programmers-who-go-on-trips-but
