Well, I finally fixed the Visual 603 terminal that I aquired some time ago. The problem (if you remember) was a bad capacitor. But then, after twiddling some internal adjustments to fix the screen width, and stuff like that, the terminal would not turn on again. It turns out that there is an adjustment right next to the power supply which must be set just right for the terminal to work. (on my terminal, it is a green trimpot). Now the question: Does anybody know what that trimpot does, and also what exactly the two adjustable coils do (they have movable cores). In its present state, the terminal works, but the text is scrunched up a bit on the right side of the screen, and the second line of text is slanted forwards slightly (looks like italics). I'd like to get it adjusted properly. Thanks. Lastly, does anybody know what happened to Visual? Last I heard, they had filed under chapter 11. - -= Allon =- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a test of the emergency signature system.
