I just dug an old Visual 200 terminal out of the closet, and would like to have it display on a small monitor. The terminal has a Phono jack on the back marked as video out, but the display on that jack doesn't come up on my external monitor. Thinking that my terminal had blown some component, I tried the same setup with another motherboard, and got the same problem. The video out looks like a picture with the "horizontal hold" mis-adjusted. My question(s) is(are) this: Is this in fact a symptom of some fried component, or do these terminals have a different idea of what a video signal is supposed to look like? Since the same problem seems to happen on two of the terminals, I assume that it is a common problem, so does anyone know what component(s) need to be replaced? It's a pretty sad terminal, but if I can use the video out jack, I can stash the thing behind a desk and just put the keyboard and monitor in view. ;^) Many thanks! --Rob Cuthbertson, robc@uswat.uswest.com rob@snoopy.colorado.edu ..!{ncar|uunet|sun}!boulder!uswat!robc
