[comp.terminals] What terminals have downloadable softfonts?

What terminals are capable of displaying user-created characters? In other
words what terminals have softfont capabilities? I know that the VT200,
VT220 and VT320 are supposed to be able to do this. But I'm told that some
other brands which emulate the Dec VT220 such as CIT (out of business) can't
do this. Both Wyse-99GT and Wyse-60 have softfont. So does the old CIT-500
but it can only display 7-bit characters. I looked at the new Data Pro
sheets for terminals and they don't cover this important feature.

In addition, if a terminal has softfont, is it 8-bit softfont (or 7-bit)?
Many of the ISO fonts such as Cyrillic-Latin are 8-bit. The Wyse-99GT has a
VT220 8-bit mode. But there is also a 7-bit mode for VT220 on the Wyse.
