[comp.terminals] Losing keystokes using SmarTerm220 on PC

jgb@prism.gatech.EDU (James G. Baker) (08/13/90)

When using SmarTerm220 on my PC (Dell 386) at 9600 baud to a PDP11/84 in
VT-100 mode, I can easily lose keystrokes when using the keypad (Gold key
combinations). This makes cursoring around a file difficult and even
dangerous.

Any suggestions with SmarTerm or suggestions for other emulators?

Thanks!

What OS are you running on your PDP-11/84? What application are you running?
What serial interface are you using on your PDP-11? Does your PC software
support limited transmit, like VT2xx terminals (limit incoming data to
240 CPS, regardless of baudrate)?
