I had a question for a computer wiz friend of mine but he actually didn't know, so he suggested I post to here.... Does anybody have any info about Kimtron KT-7's? In specific I'd like to know if they have their own terminal type. They seem to emulate Wyse-50's, although not exactly. When I set my terminal type to wy50 when logging on with a Kimtron it usually works fine until I get into vi. Then it starts inserting garbage characters at the beginning of each line, and also freezes up when I exit out of vi. (It still transmits; just the display stops.) Also while in wy50, it refuses to recognize carriage returns that aren't in the first 79 columns, i.e. it doesn't go to the next line if there are 80 or more characters on a line. If someone could tell me the proper terminal type or can otherwise help me with any of these problems I would be very grateful. But please email your answers, as I am not a regular reader of this group. -- Andrew Trapp act31797@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu
