I've had a rather strange request from a person on our site for information about
a terminal emulator that runs under suntools, or X, pref. X, that would handle
the hp block-mode editing feature.
Hp is running a tester support bulletin board sort of thing, and it's written to
do file editing via block-mode local editing, where the bull. board sends a sequence
saying, go into block editing mode, here's the data, and sends a chunk of data to
display. The user can use function keys on the terminal to edit the data, and then,
when finished, retransmits the data to the BB.
I told him not to hold his breath. Anybody out know of anything?
