I am running Ultrix-32 V1.2 with sendmail and Smail 2.5. The problem that I
am having is that one of these (sendmail or smail) insists upon re-writing
the address if it contains an "@" in it.
Addresses such as "foo!USER@bar.ranch.com" wind up leaving the machine
as "foo!bar.ranch.com!USER" and always get bounced back. I have searched hi
and low to try and determine what/who/where/why this is happening.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to where I could look to cure this
problem. It took me forever to get sendmail.cf to properly handle UUCP mail
and I am very gunshy about hacking away at sendmail without knowing what I
am doing.
