We've been trying to get uucp working over the accunet network (x.25) to a system in London, and other places worldwide, and we've been having some problems... Could anyone out there in net-land give me some clues??? We can make a connection, and log in, but that's about as far as we get. The Sphere message comes through, and uucp reports that we've logged in, but the connection terminates from the remote end before we can negotiate a protocol. I think the problem has to do with the packet network delays, but we haven't got any manuals here that indicate how to (or if it's possible to) reduce the jerkyness of the I/O. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance for any help!! Oh, please respond e-mail to attmail!attibr!vch, as we've only been on the net a few days, and haven't recieved any traffic on this topic yet... I'm not so sure that our feed is working correctly. Vince Hatem AT&T International Basking Ridge, NJ (201) 953-8030 attmail!attibr!vch

There's a special protocol for speaking UUCP over X.25. An implementation of this protocol for BSD UUCP is in volume 8 of the comp.sources.unix archive. -- Bill Wisner / wisner@killer.dallas.tx.us / +1 208 286 7929
