From article <5349@killer.DALLAS.TX.US>, by wisner@killer.DALLAS.TX.US (Bill Wisner): | ... Entering the US domain is just a bit less painless than | utilizing the UUCP Project, and the truly masochistic can deal directly | with the NIC. You are simply one of a number of options. Dealing directly with the NIC is not painful at all. Once one figures out how to fill out that gawd-awful questionaire, it was a breeze. The NIC people are very helpful (our application got lost the first time, but we re-sent it and our domain was registered 2 days later). I personally like the .US domain idea, but I hate the "host.area.state.us" format... it's not appropriate for "parks" of 2+ computers. I'd prefer host.[park.[area.*]]state.us. Enough of that subject, it's been debated to death. I'd just like to put my 2cents saying that registering with the NIC isn't all that painful. -- Paul Traina To believe that what is true for {uunet|pyramid}!comdesign!pst you in your private heart is true pst@condor.cdi.com for all men, that is genius.
