I've finally got a full (more or less) map built using Pathalias as kindly provided by the friendly folks at Waterloo... S'wonderful, S'marvellous, but I'm stuck now with a file full of finely-ground mailing paths and a mailer (SunOS4.0) which couldn't find its way out of a wet paper bag. What kind of kludges to the CF files need to be done? Do I have to go to the 4.2/4.3 sendmail, for which I have sources, and kludge sendmail itself? Both? Neither? Is this time to go to SMail? Inquiring minds need to know! Thanks for your time... ---tpc--- -- I am sole owner of the above opinions. If you have sendmail 5.59 sources, you can do the job with the IDA kit, available from your local comp.sources.unix archives. It's overkill if you just want something small and simple that doesn't need to be completely understood and tweaked every week. Get Smail (again from comp.sources.unix) if you want a simpler and weaker but sufficient answer to the same problem. -- Paul Vixie Work: vixie@decwrl.dec.com decwrl!vixie +1 415 853 6600 Play: paul@vixie.sf.ca.us vixie!paul +1 415 864 7013
