mju@m-net.UUCP (Marc Unangst) (01/16/89)
I've been playing around with the UFGATE UUCP <-> Fidonet package, and I've been fairly impressed. If I can get it to work reliably, I may junk UUPC and use UFGATE. However, there's one "minor" hitch: I can't get it to properly export mail. I'm using the MSGED message editor/reader, and UFGATE release 1.02. I create a message with MSGED, in the directory defined on the "Mail" line in UFGATE.CTL. The message is from me (Marc Unangst), and is to "Uucp on 1:120/89.1", which is my zone:net/node.point number. On the first line of the message, I put "To: mju@m-net.ann-arbor.mi.us" (m-net.ann-arbor.mi.us is defined as an Alias to "m-net" in my UFGATE.CTL file). I then leave a blank line, and begin my message. I save it, and then exit from MSGED, and call MAILOUT (with no parameters). It says C:\UFGATE\BIN>mailout mailout: version 1.26 released, compiled Dec 07 1988 at 18:04:33. Copyright (C) 1987, 1988 by John W. Galvin. All Rights Reserved. I've tried replacing the To: line with "^AUUCP mju@m-net.ann-arbor.mi.us" (with the "^A" replaced with an ASCII 0x01), but that doesn't work either. What am I doing wrong? (I did get it to transfer *once*, but now I can't re-produce that.) -- Marc Unangst UUCP: mju@m-net.ann-arbor.mi.us UUCP path: ...!uunet!mailrus!clip!m-net!mju Internet: mju%m-net@cardiology.ummc.umich.edu
