I read the complaints about CBS Masterworks CDs with some amusement -- I guess a lousy line of conventional records now has expanded to a lousy line of CDs! I own a couple of CBS Masterworks audiophile conventional records, and the sound quality is some of the worst I have heard... I won't buy any more.
