Hi - I am looking for a path to any fido bbs in europe running the
UFGATE software that can be reached via uucp. If you know the path, please

I do not think there are any yet, but I will be taking a few flavors of
uucp/FidoNet gating software to the European FidoNet meeting this week, so
keep the faith.

2:500/333 (4gl) run a fidonet gate last year, but I haven't been able
to contact with them for a long time.

Locally we have gates to local unix machines, noone just haven't had time
to get permission to run it officially, so they usually cut mail coming
from fidonet to prevent fidonet people sending costly mail over usenet, though
other way usually works.

I just returned for the European FidoNet meeting (and other business, of
course). I took FidoNet/uucp gateware on diskie, and many copies were made.
I think we can expect to see gates appearing in Europe soon.

When they do, it would be very helpful if they would send their map entries
in to say that they will forward for their net or region. Currently, a
uucp->FidoNet message from Torino to Torino goes through Portland Oregon US!
