Could some kind sole please explain how uucp grading works? I was told from
the people at uunet that they queue up USENET at a grade of 'd' and mail at a
grade of 'Z'. Now, how do I tell uucico to only requested things at a grade
of 'Z' and lower. I tried to add the entry in my Systems file like:
uunet Any/Z,Any1900-0700 ACU .....
But when I placed the call to uunet it started sending me USENET. Of course,
to be able to place "poll" calls to uunet I had to changed the uudemon.poll
script to make polls at grade 'A'. I guess I could of made the poll at grade
'Z' and it still would of worked, but I did not think that it mattered.
Could someone please explain how the grading scheme works?
Also, is there any way that I can limit to where only certain users can access
certain machines via uucp?
One more thing, does anybody out there have a program that will create a summary
of the uucp usage, sorted by date and user. In particular I want to know who
is mail through the sites that are long distance and how much long distance they
are using.
Thanks,
Keith
