One of my neighboring uucp sites has a problem connecting with us at 2400 baud. They are using a Courier 2400. When they try to call us at 2400, the modem falls back to 1200 and, eventually, uucico times out, I presume because it's still talking to the modem at 2400. If they start the call at 1200, everything works fine. We can call them at 2400 (Hayes Smartmodem 2400), but if they initiate the call, it always falls back. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you resolve it? -- David L.
