I am using Unix 4.3bsd and sendmail 5.61 and have a uucp problem.
This problem occurs with and without the rmail "U" flag.
(ie. "Ugly uucp")
I am attempting to have mail sent correctly to/from
our first uucp site AND I have problems with the "From:"
line on mail sent *from* our local site to the uucp site.
Mail passing *through* our local site to the uucp site is OK.
Where we are local host Yhost, we have the following set up:
Connection Type: Internet uucp
Host Name: Xhost <----------> Yhost <------> Zhost
Mail sent from Internet Xhost to uucp Zhost gets the
following what I beleive to be correct "From:"
line in the /usr/spool/uucp/D.Yhost directory mail headers
before the mail is picked up by a call from Zhost:
From: Yhost!Xhost!user1
Mail sent from local Yhost to uucp Zhost gets the following
what I beleve is *incorrect* "From:" line in the same directory of:
From: Yhost!Yhost!user2
Question: Where does the second "Yhost!" come from and how
do I get rid of it and still allow mail to
correctly pass through our local site?
If anybody knows the answer and will e-mail it to me,
I will try viable responces and post the result(s) that
work. Thank you in advance.
