[comp.mail.uucp] Is sendmail public domain?

I don't know didly about sendmail, but I would like to start running it.
Can anyone tell me how I can get this?  Is is public domain or will I have
to buy as part of a package?  Thanx in advance.

Via anonymous FTP from ucbarpa.berkeley.edu:4.3/sendmail.tar.Z, or via
anonymous UUCP from osu-cis.  It's almost certainly on uunet.uu.net as
well.

Neither.  It's copyrighted by the Regents of the University of
California, but it's freely available.
