I have some patches to pathalias and smail that cut the size of the paths file by about 60% (i.e., just less than half what it would be) with a small increase in execution time for smail. While this doesn't cut the memory cost of running pathalias, it does cut the size of the resulting file that must be kept on disk. Now comes the question of what to do with my modifications. Who, if anybody, is coordinating the release of "official" patches to pathalias? -- ========================================================================== | Richard H.
