I recently received a UUPC bug report to the effect the UUPC was wrong
in only transmitting (and checking) the first seven characters of a
host. (I think the number is actually six, with one extra for a) luck
and b) a terminating \0). What do REAL (what the hell IS real?) UUCP
uucico programs check in the length department?
Will I break someone if I send the entire host name because they expect
'x' characters followed by a \0?
Will I break someone if I check more than 'x' characters of a host name
because they only send 'x'?
Will Trudy marry Dave? Will Marsha ... oh never mind.

p.s. Bravo to the sucker --- err -- kind person writing the UUPC manual,
but you better mail your phone number to me, cause your e-mail
address isn't worth the magnetic field it's stored in.
Both my replies to you bounced.
