Just a few lines from italy. Since last year, we are using a custom version of uusend to ship files on the uucp network. This version of uusend uses 'pathalias' databases to correctly forward files. So you can type: uusend myfile /tmp@host or uusend myfile ~@host (=/usr/spool/uucppublic..) Of course this requires that all of the hosts run uusend as well. Security is Ok, everyone here has it, since not everyone let 'uucp' inside his L-cmds file (on Sys V.2 is a potential security hole, at *least on xenix systems). Beside, uusend is better than 'uuto' as-it-is now. Should the author post uusend? Is it copyright something or not? Is it interesting to someone?
