#Take that you line-eater you! Could someone in the local area please mail me a copy of pathalias. I'd prefer if you could contact me first but I've gotten no previous replies so I could probably manage to wade through a few copies if you send it. The latest version I have is from 1985, I understand that the latest is past 1986. Please help me tidy up my mail system. We are trying to get Unix/Unix mail working here, and seem to have everything BUT mail routing working. I too could use a copy or a pointer to an archive which has a copy. I have looked around in SIMTEL20 without success, but that may well be my lack of experience. In answer to my request for information regarding 'weighting' uucp connects in map entries, everyone pointed me towards the pathalias man file. Yep, there it was, and I thank you. Not running a *nix system DOES have a few disadvantages :-) . -- No matter who you elect, the Government still gets in.

The smail documentation (paths.8) describes the format of the paths file, and says to look at the documentation for 'pathalias' for more information. The documentation for 'pathalias' tells you everything you need to know. Pathalias is available on all the major archive sites, including as ~/mail/pathalias.Z on UUNET. (It was most recently released in comp.sources.unix volume 22.) The Nutshell books also mention pathalias as the program to use. In short, how the hell does one *avoid* pathalias? And at Microport? Never mind -- I don't really want to know. -- PISTOL LICENSES X\X\X Tom Neff Like to shoot? Why commute? \X\X\ tneff@bfmny0.BFM.COM -- West Side Rifle & Pistol Range, NYC X\X\X uunet!bfmny0!tneff
