Hi all, I am interested in incorporating news and uucp mail into a bbs system I am writing for the Archimedes. Maybe someone could give me some help: 1. I assume by some prior arrangement either I call a convenient host or they call me; either way what is the usual arrangement for logging-on to the remote machine? 2. Say the host calls me with some mail/news: by what transfer protocol are the files transferred? 3. How are mail, news, and files arranged in the files sent by the host? Does the host just send one big files from which I extract relevant new news, mail, etc. or does it send individual items separately? Thanks for your help :-) Joe. P.S.
