The best way to find out who is using your program is to put a show stopper bug in a new release. Most UUCP systems issue a challange of the form: Shere=hostname but some only issue a challange: Shere This includes Ultrix UUCP, or so it would appear. I was aware of this a long time ago, but forgot it and "cleaned up" the start up code in UUPC/extended 1.08a to require the challange WITH the host name. Thus, UUPC systems that could connect to some hosts under version 1.07j cannot do so under 1.08a. This will be corrected in release 1.08b. However, because I rewrote the mail delivery routines with 1000 new source lines, I am not releasing 1.08b until the code is burned in. Later this week I will post the source fix for UUPC/extended 1.08a. (It is, at most, two lines long). -ahd- Drew Derbyshire Internet: help@kendra.kew.com Snail mail: 108 Decatur St, Apt 9 Voice: 617-641-3739 Arlington, MA 02174
