I am having difficulty getting Mac/gnuucp up and communicating smoothly
between my home system and my forwarder. The problem is that 4 times out
of 5, the two systems will get out of synch somehow and never finish the
conversation. I have had people suggest that there may be a problem running
uucp over a 7-bit path, since there are strange things (a control-B!) winding
up in the headers of my outgoing mail.
I thought I would send a log file; possibly someone here can read it and
understand what's happening. This log file was printed by setting the
debug level to 9 and then calling iuvax (the forwarder) to check for mail.
Configuration - Mac SE running Mac/gnuucp 2.6, other side is ultrix vax 8800.
Any help is appreciated. Please speak reasonable english - I understand
computers quite well but know almost no uucp lingo.
