I have a problem with FSUUCP11R5. I have it set up to talk to an AT&T 3B2 system running UNIX SYSV R3. The problem is this: when I use FSUUCP to poll the system(att1), the mail I send to the at&t gets out, but any mail received by my node is not "found" by UUXQT. I know the mail transfers because I find the data files (*.D) in the att1 directory in \spool\uucp. UUCICO and UUXQT always terminate with no errors, but UUXQT always has no work for att1. This has had me tearing my hair out for a week, all together. This is my first UUCP setup, so am I doing something simple wrong? If anyone else has this or a similar setup working, could you please mail me? Thanks very much in advance, Longshot LONGSHOT@VAX1.MANKATO.MSUS.EDU ----------- +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Erik "Longshot" Green "I am that I am." - God | | "I am what I am and that's all what I am. - Popeye the sailor man | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+

LONGSHOT@VAX1.MANKATO.MSUS.EDU (A deeper shade of soul) recently informed us: >The problem is this: when I use FSUUCP >to poll the system(att1), the mail I send to the at&t gets out, but any mail >received by my node is not "found" by UUXQT. This is a known bug in release 5. Basically, the way that UUXQT constructs the DOS filename is thrown off by some UUCP's filename construction process. Release 6, and 1.2 take care of this. If you want to pick up a copy of the repaired uuxqt.exe, it is available on polyslo.calpoly.edu as "xqtfix.zip" .. look in the pub directory, if it's not there, it's in the tmp directory waiting to be moved to pub. -- ++Christopher(); --- cambler@polyslo.calpoly.edu --- chris@erotica.fubarsys.com --- A feature is a bug with seniority.

I tried to set up fsuucp11r5 on both a Compaq LT-286 and a Toshiba T1000 last night. I think I have everything ready to go, but the device driver for the COM port locks both machines up; the Toshiba immediatley and the Compaq eventually. Can anybody tell me what I may be doing wrong with the device driver (X00.sys)?
