siemion@blake.u.washington.edu (John Siemion) (11/24/90)
I am sending from Seattle, WA USA and would like to exchange email
with my colleagues in the CSFR.
Most of those who I know are now using FidoNet and do not know
how to access UUCP and the Internet.
Do you know how I could exchange mail with them between
UUCP and FidoNet?
I know how to send a message from UUCP to FidoNet in my region, but I
am not sure if the domain naming system is the same for sending
to the CSFR. I am using (for example):
firstname.lastname@f(idonode).n(etwork).z(one).fidonet.org
For example, I might send a message to:
john.smith@f6.n420.z2.fidonet.org (the Internet address)
2:420/6 (John Smith) (the Fidonet address)
How would those on FidoNet in the CSFR send from FidoNet mail to UUCP?
Most of those with whom I would like to communicate are in Praha.
If you can think of a way for someone in the CSFR (especially Praha)
to access and start a UUCP and/or Internet account on a nearby node
please let me know how to do it.
Do you know about any UUCP/Fido or just plain UUCP nodes in
the CSFR (especially BBS systems)??
(p.s. I am also interested in communicating with colleagues in Berlin, Germany
and St. Gallen, Switzerland.)
Thank you for your time.
