Hi there, I have the following problem: Since we're running short on telephone lines i've been trying to set up a bi-directional line with "uugetty -r". But as I understand from the books (Nutshell et. al.), uugetty sits there waiting for someone to type a CR on his keyboard at the other end. As soon as that happens it starts the login sequence ("Login: etc"). When the line is being used by uucico as an out-going line, it must login on our backbone machine. Since characters are echoed back, our machine sees a CR, the one it just typed while logging in. Then uugetty wakes up and starts to mingle in the discussion. This way it can never work. Has anybody ever got this problem sorted out? BTW, we use the HDB (BNU) version of uucp (otherwise we wouldn't have uugetty, right?). Any help much appreciated, preferably by mail.
