REIDMP@MAINE.BITNET (02/18/91)
I have been setting up UUCP on 386 Xenix 2.3.2 and sending mail files to and from my PC by modem, using UUPC 1.09c. Everything seems to work fine, except for two things: 1. The SCO mailer only seems to know bang-path format mail addresses, so instead of mailing jsmith@foo.UUCP i must mail foo!jsmith. What am I missing? 2. When I receive mail on my PC, the sender is "Unknown". This doesn't happen if I send mail to myself from the PC to the PC, or if I send mail from the PC to the SCO system. It always happens when I send mail from the SCO to the PC. Ack! Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there is sufficient interest, I will summarize to comp.unix.questions. Please send mail direct to me at reidmp@maine.maine.edu or reidmp@maine.bitnet thanks in advance Reid M. Pinchback
