[AT&T 3b1, SysV 3.51, Smail 2.5, Elm 2.3 PL8]
When I create a .forward file in my home directory I have
no problems forwarding to person addresses.
Does smail2.5 support "|program" forwarding like sendmail?
When I do this (to Elm's "filter"), I get a bunch of "sh"
and "rmail" proccesses to the point of crippling my machine.

My solution (for my 3B1)... I downloaded sendmail from osu-cis!~/att7300 and configured smail2.5 to run with sendmail. With sendmail I can now use elm's filter and also those wonderful vacation programs. DAS -- David A.
