I'm attempting to reconnect with one of our sites that has upgraded to a new
version of SunOS that is apparently using HDB UUCP. We are running Ultrix with
4.2BSD UUCP.
Here is a sample of the handshake between the two of us:
root cancun (3/8-10:27-26418) SUCCEEDED (call to cancun )
imsg looking for SYNC<
\20>
imsg input<Shere=cancun\0
Using \0 as End of message char
>got 12 characters
omsg <Ssrchtec -Q0 -x9>
imsg looking for SYNC<\20>
imsg input<RLOGIN\0>got 6 characters
msg-RLOGIN
root cancun (3/8-10:27-26418) FAILED HANDSHAKE (LOGIN)
Hanging up fd = 6
After looking through some of the information from Tanner Andrews's uucp mailing
list I can not figure out what the 'LOGIN' response means. Does anyone know
what this might mean? :-(
