Recently I've begun experimenting with SLIP between work and home. (Strange thing is that home [3/60] is more reliable than work [ISC 2.2] at present...) Ultimately, I'd like to get some sort of on demand dial up slip or PPP going. This isn't about that specifically but rather the mechanics of doing this. I have the modifications to tip to push the slip stream module, but I didn't find it to usefull. The tip dialers are compiled in, and I change configurations, modems, etc.. far too often to keep up with it. I'm also not enthused with keeping two databases of stuff up to date. Has anyone done any routines that understands HDB Systems/Devices/Dialers files fully? I'd so much rather just use that database. In particular, because it seems to work quite well. Sources licenses are not a possibility. This is SunOS 4.1 and SVR3.2 a la Interactive. Thank you for any pointers. I'm willing to hack a bit on this. -- :!mcr!: | The postmaster never | So much mail, Michael Richardson | resolves twice. | so little time.
