Recently there has been a great deal of discussion in comp.mail.headers concerning rerouting and duplicate names and domain names. I am a sort of novice in regards to UUCP mail and associated jazz, and so if my questions appear more than a little bit silly, please bear with me and/or just set up a kill file for this thread: 1) How are domains set up, and what does .COM and .UUCP signify? 2) What sort of conventions are used within your organization for naming sites? Some AT&T machines in NJ are all named after Greek Gods, and then there are sites like ihnp4 which at first lend the appearance of Greek itself. [I never knew out until I talked with an AT&T guru who espoused the practicalness of the att naming convention - Indian Hill (something-something) 4]
