[comp.mail.headers] Are underbars considered bad form for addresses in

pozar@hoptoad.uucp (Tim Pozar) (04/01/88)

As the subject says... Can underbars be used in the name of
the user in the address of INTERNET or UUCP addresses?

       eg. Tim_Pozar@fidogate.fidonet.org

Interpretation of anything to the left of the "@" sign is left up to
the recieving host. In theory, you can put anything there (even delimiter
characters, if you enclose the whole thing on the left with quotation
marks).
