Hi. I just wanted to thank everybody on behalf of Erik Fortune for their interest in Pascal mode. Unfortunately, Pascal Mode seems to be caught somewhere in UUCP Limbo between here and the secret place in IBM which Erik calls "home". Soooo.... I'm not ready to pass it along just yet. I'll take a look over the weekend and see what's up. Thanks for your patience. Also, its been pointed out that my original wording seemed to suggest that I wanted people to port the code to GNU Elisp as a condition of my distribution. That's not the case. Just ask, and you will receive. If anybody does the port, though, it would be polite to post it, thereby possibly saving work for others. PS Thanks to the person with the sechel (common sense) to provide v18.31 in a "split" form at louie.udel.edu. It's really made my life easier. When I get all the pieces together I'll tell you what I think! +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ Scott Menter UCI ICS Computing Support Group Univ of Calif at Irvine (714) 856 7552 Irvine, California 92717 Internet: escott@ics.uci.edu UUCP: ucbvax!ucivax!escott Bitnet: escott@ucicp6 CSNet: escott%ics.uci.edu@csnet-relay +----------------------------------------------------------------------+

Yes, fans, it's finally arrived: Erik Fortune's Pascal Mode for (Gosling) Emacs I've sent off copies to the following individuals: Robert Stockton, Glen Ditchfield, Sam Crowley, Josh Littlefield, Vincent P. Broman, Fen Labalme If you're on this list, but haven't gotten it by, say, Monday Dec 15th, be sure to drop me a note. You can get a copy of your very own through anonymous ftp (password guest) to "ics.uci.edu", as "pub/pascal-mode.shar". It's 1400ish lines, including documentation; 40K in all. The author and I distribute this as a courtesy, without any warranty whatsoever, expressed, implied, or otherwise. Neither does the UCI ICS department have any responsibility with regard to pascal-mode; it just happens to be where I work. Enjoy it! I'd be interested to hear comments, which I'll probably pass along to the author, unless they are of the sort which are likely to strain our friendship. The software was written several years ago, when the author (and I) were but undergraduates at Brandeis, so if you do have a comment, be sure it's surrounded by context. Have fun. +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ Scott Menter UCI ICS Computing Support Group Univ of Calif at Irvine (714) 856 7552 Irvine, California 92717 Internet: escott@ics.uci.edu UUCP: ucbvax!ucivax!escott Bitnet: escott@ucicp6 CSNet: escott%ics.uci.edu@csnet-relay +----------------------------------------------------------------------+
