[comp.emacs] patch for bug in 17.64?

lawitzke@msudoc.UUCP (John Lawitzke) (12/30/86)

The following bug is not a new bug. It pertains to GNU 17.64.
When working on a SUN3 and using suntools rlogged into a VAX8600
and using gnu emacs. Everything works fine until I call
save-buffers-kill-emacs. I am prompted as to the save file name. I
answer y and the file is saved. Then, instead of moving the cursor
to the beginning of the last line of the window and exitting, one
of two things occur.

Either 1)

GNU exits ok, but leaves the cursor where it is on the screen.

or 2)

GNU hangs and does not exit.

If there is a patch to the source code to fix this, I would appreciate
receiving. I have heard that this is repaired in 18.32 and I am working
on getting around to getting it, but I would like to patch the existing
code in the interm.
