I'd like to modify GNUemacs RMAIL so that if, in the process of reading in the RMAIL file it discovers mail that is still unread, it will *not* read new mail; will announce that it has discovered unread mail; and will stay pointed to the (oldest) unread mail. I've poked through the sources and I have ideas about how to do it but lack confidence (it looks complicated in there). Has anyone done anything like this already? Thanks .... What I would prefer is for it to always display the next unread message regardless of how often you do the "g" command. Currently I think that it always displays the first of the newly-read messages. -------------------------------------- rusty c. wright rusty@weyl.berkeley.edu ucbvax!weyl!rusty
