[comp.emacs] More on sex.1

dsill@NSWC-OAS.ARPA.UUCP (03/25/87)

I found sex.1 to neither particularly funny nor personally offensive.

However, the controversy surrounding this issue reflects badly on the Free
Software Foundation. Frankly, I'm more than a little surprised that it was
ever included in the emacs distribution. A little humor now and then is
fine, but when it accompanies a major software distribution it should be
as inoffensive as possible, and certainly shouldn't be racially, ethnically,
or sexually based. For this reason I think it should be removed from future
emacs distributions.

I sent this once, but I never got it back. Please bear with me if you've
already seen it...
