[comp.emacs] keypad definitions for various terminal types

jsol@BUIT1.BU.EDU (Jon Solomon) (05/04/87)

I am setting up a mailing list called "gnumacs-keypad@bu-cs.bu.edu"
to discuss the issues related to the keypad definitions in GNU Emacs.
This list was started because a couple of users here at BU noticed
that the keypad definitions for their terminal type were changed, and
they indicated that they wanted the original definitions back.

While I am sure that my users can set up the keypad any way they like
in their .emacs files, I still feel that it is necessary to have a
standard for the keypad to be adhered to in future versions of GNU
Emacs, hence the creation of gnumacs-keypad.

If you would like to participate in the discussion, please send me
mail indicating that you'd like to be added to the list. Send the mail
to gnumacs-keypad-request@bu-cs.bu.edu.

Cheers,
