I have brought up 18.46 on VMS 4.5 and everything works fine. Well, almost.
Whenever I try to edit a file, I get "file is write-protected" or
"directory is write-protected". I have traced this to the file-writable-p
function, but I can't quite tell what is going on there that would cause
this to occur. My directories and files are all owned by me and in owner
RWED mode. Does anyone have an answer for this?
