Hi...
I just finnished moving 18.46 from the unix tarred/compressed
version to a vax VMS .exe. Took a few hours but here are some of the
bugs to to took for. If you are using eunice you have to remove those
pesky $'s from the filenames. Also the biggest problem with the VMS
version is that man versions of vms dont allow -'s in filenames. Thus
you have to use _'s. If you do this you have to change every file in
the build sequence to have _'s in them. If you VMS can handle -'s
then you should think about changing the [lisp] and [info] files to
-'s. I have a .com file to do this ... but since it invokes gnuemacs
to do some string crunching.
If you have any problems send me mail and I will help you best I
can.

Has anyone moved the GNU emacs Unix distribution to VMS. I have compiled
and linked everything but there seems to be a missing file emacs.com which
is needed to start emacs. I presume that this loads up all the startup
macros. Could someone out there please e-mail me a copy.
 Thanks.
