[Gnu Emacs 18.37 on a MicroVAX II under Ultrix 2.0] Yo Gnu-heads! I have done some experimentation with marker objects in Gnu Emacs. It appears that when a marker is set, it is 'stuck' to the character to the left of the position where it is originally placed. Thus, if a marker is placed at the beginning of the buffer, it cannot move. This prevents me from marking text that is originally at the beginning of the buffer, but which may later have text inserted before it. I want to stick the marker onto the character to the right of the position where it is set. If that character is deleted, I want the marker to stay, and become attached to whatever character is now at the right. Can I do this?
