We recently re-compiled version 18.44 of emacs to include some
changes in our site-init.el file. Unfortunately, due to a lack of
disk space we no longer had the .o files around so that we had
recompile the entire system. Since the recompilation some commands
which ask for input from the mini-buffer have not been giving their
prompt until after a character has been entered. Needless to say it
is most frustrating to have to start to answer a question before you
know what it is. Does anyone know what could be causing this?? We
are running under SunOS 3.2 on both Sun2/3's. Thanks for any
