Has anyone managed to run GNU emacs on an ELXSI under BSD? They now use the COFF object format. I have made what looks like a pretty good crt0.o, and I can get the whole thing to compile, but when I run it, it seems to go into an infinite loop in the initial memory allocation. (It's hard to tell for sure because the elxsi adb is very poor.) ________________________________________________________ Matt University matt@oddjob.uchicago.edu Crawford of Chicago {astrovax,ihnp4}!oddjob!matt

The subject line sez it all... I have a copy of 18.44. I have struggled with it under ENIX (3.2?). I think that I need to get larger swap spaces for processes, or figure out how to put more stuff into "pure []" memory. I would also like to put it on EMBOS/EMS so that even when I have to use the ugly thing, I can at least have the same editor (with my customizations). Lowell Savage uw-beaver!ssc-vax!savage
