Does not seem to be a marriage made in heaven, yet. Is somebody porting GNU emacs to X 11, or must we be running X 10.4? Michael

Is somebody porting GNU emacs to X 11, or must we be running X 10.4? Michael I have been working on an X11 port for some time now. It is not at all stable yet, but we are using a version of it here on a daily basis at Project Athena. I'm trying to put some more optimization into it this week. Anyone who would like to try a copy of my code can send me personal email. I make no guarantees whatsoever (even less than FSF does!). When a fully operational version of it becomes available, I will send mail to this list. Robert French MIT Project Athena
