In order to get Gnu Emacs running on my UNIXpc (a SVR2 box), it's been necessary to use the -N option to ld, resulting in a slow-to-load, non-shared executable. There should be some way to dump out a regular executable with magic number 413, but before I dig into unexec.c, I'd like to find out if anyone else (1) found that the supplied unexec would only successfully create magic number 407 executables, and (2) figured out what modifications were necessary to dump out a sharable exec. Any guidance mucho appreciated. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brant Cheikes University of Pennsylvania ARPA: brant@linc.cis.upenn.edu Computer and Information Science =============================================================================
