I asked before for some help with vn.el, but it was ignored. I was wondering if anyone would help me if I stated the problem more clearely with some added info. The basic problem is that you can't use the 'f' command while reading news to reply to an article. Since VN uses some functions from rnewspost.el, rnewspost needs to have the variables set as it would have been from rn.el. However, I noticed that news-current-news-group wasn't set when executing news-reply which will cause the function to explode. Since noone helped me initially, I had to relearn some aspects of lisp and totally learn the debugger. Thanks a biggie! <- serious Anyways, forget the initial stuff, what I want to know is has anyone gotten vn.el to work??? I am using version 10.40.4 of GNU Emacs on a Berkeley 4.3 system. Can the author reply? Where is news-current-news-group set if news-reply is executed from vn??? -MikeP
