[comp.emacs] Out of Pure Lisp code space in GNU Emacs

I decided to load the sun mouse definitions in site-init.el.
When I remake Emacs, it barfs loading sun-mouse-fns.el, saying
that the pure lisp code space is exhausted (or words to that
effect).  I increased the space and still got the same error
which leads me to suspect that there is something eluding me
here.  Any email suggestions would be appreciated.  BTW, I
put in
  (load "sun-mouse.el")
  (load "sun-mouse-fns.el")
in site-init.el.
